We were blessed to have our inaugural Philos, and Rhosebud affiliates in 2022 and our wonderful young Rhoers will soon follow. Our affiliate clubs are composed of our Rhosebuds (ages 8-11), Rhoers (ages 12-17) and Philo Friends (those women who chose not to pursue a 4-year degree). I encourage you to learn about affiliate clubs as well who support us in bringing forth our community initiatives. Our mission will always be to uplift and enhance the quality of life within our communities and with this in mind, it is our hope that you will consider partnering with us to work to create and support initiatives that align with our organization’s vision. We will strive to provide education through our workshops, local programming, civic awareness, health advocacy, and leadership development. Swim 1922 programs are conducted during May-August of the sorority year. With USA Swimming, Sigma Gamma Rho has touched close to 20,000 lives, directly, with the projection of changing multiple generations to come. As Nu Beta Sigma moves through its 3rd year, it is continuing to execute the vision of its founders, the Sororities Mission, and the Chapter's impactful programs that continue to support and bring positive changes to Queens, NY communities. Olympians and members of the sorority teach the community about water safety and how to swim. This chapter was chartered on June 27, 2020, in the midst of challenging times during the BLM (Black Lives Matter) movement and the Worldwide COVID-19 Pandemic.
